Enhance your infrared sauna session with halotherapy—20 minutes of breathing pharmaceutical-grade salt particles to help support respiratory function and promote deep relaxation.

Halotherapy, also called salt therapy, is a natural and non-invasive modality that is both anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial in nature.
The HALO ONE is a compact, quiet halogenerator that actively breaks down and disperses pharmaceutical-grade salt particles into the air in your infrared sauna.
Activate the halogenerator within the first 10 minutes of your sauna session to maximize benefits. As you relax in the gentle heat, you’ll also breathe in microscopic salt particles, allowing them to gently reach your airways and land on your skin.
After a single session, you may notice that you are breathing more comfortably, are better able to clear any tightness or mucus in the chest, and are feeling more relaxed. You may experience subtle salty taste on your lips or the refreshing scent of salty air.
Halotherapy is generally considered safe for most adults. However, Perspire Sauna Studio recommends talking with your healthcare team ahead of adding this modality into your wellness plan as a complementary therapy.
Since halotherapy is combined with your infrared sauna and red light therapy experience, similar precautions apply. Additionally, people who have acute illnesses accompanied by fevers should avoid using the sauna and the HALO ONE™ until they’re fever-free. Individuals with respiratory conditions, cancers or other serious healthcare conditions should seek medical advice ahead of trying halotherapy. Similarly, if you have open skin wounds, rashes or conditions, please exercise caution.
HALO ONE™ is a halogenerator that actively breaks salt particles apart and disperses them into the air. You then breathe the particles in, allowing them to interact with your respiratory system. This specific technology is 99.99% pure sodium chloride (no fillers or caking agent), utilizing a 3% pharmaceutical-grade saline solution.
Most studies looking at halotherapy as part of a treatment for respiratory conditions show very few adverse events or unwanted side effects; the complementary therapy is generally well tolerated by most adults.
Some studies report that a normal side effect of halotherapy can include a temporary increase in cough frequency as mucus clears, and some individuals may be able to taste the salt particles in the air. Additionally, some study participants have reported an unwanted scratchy throat after using halotherapy.
While these side effects are not unexpected, if they are bothersome to you, or you experience additional unwanted side effects, we encourage you to turn the unit off and discontinue use.
Add halotherapy to your upcoming session using our mobile app, or ask a studio team member upon your arrival.
HALO ONE™ technology can be added to your infrared sauna session to maximize the health-promoting benefits of your visit to Perspire Sauna Studio.
We recommend using HALO ONE™ once per week to get started, adjusting the frequency to suit your needs. Remember that the maximum temperature setting for the sauna is 140°F when the HALO ONE™ is in use.
After a single session, you may notice that you are breathing more comfortably, are better able to clear any tightness or mucus in the chest, and are feeling more relaxed.
No—Halotherapy is a session enhancement, complementary to your IR Sauna experience, that costs an additional fee.
